If you’ve ever wanted to feel like you’re sleeping in the clouds, there may be a way to do it.
This great interactive audiovisual piece from Richard Clarkson’s multi-disciplinary design studio brings the thunder but not the rain of a summer storm into your home. The “Cloud” thunderstorm lamp and speaker system looks like a rain cloud on a strap and can even interact with people and sounds around it.
This interactive cloud lamp is full of lights, microphones, and a strong speaker system. The user can set it to different modes with remote control, making it act like a simple thundercloud, react to movements in its surroundings, or react to sounds or music it hears. The fluffy top layer is a big part of what makes us think we’re looking at a cloud.
Each lamp comes in small, medium, and large sizes. The interactive cloud lamp can rise 2.75 inches (70 mm) off its base and has a built-in microphone that can pick up sounds around it. The cloud is made of hypoallergenic polyester fiber and has a lithium-ion 6600 mAh battery hidden inside.
